Club History

Weedons Cricket Club is Canterbury Country’s largest Cricket Club and caters for Juniors, Youth and Senior Cricketers from the Weedons area including West Melton, Burnham, Broadfield and New Zealand’s largest growth town Rolleston.

WCC includes Weedons Rolleston Junior Cricket and Selwyn District Youth Cricket all being part of the Weedons Cricket Club (WCC) which has been established since 1879, New Zealand’s oldest cricket club still playing at its original ground. The club is structured with a strong committee representing both Senior and Junior clubs, WCC is also represented with a seat on the Canterbury Country Cricket Board.
